Other Interests

As a graduate student I was a student representative in both my department and college, and was the webmaster for the Sidney Sussex College MCR and Graduate Union (GU) websites. I continue to act as webmaster for this research group website, and a number of others, including for my sister's swing dance classes and wedding dance services in Plymouth (although I do not dance myself!). My broader computing interests include grid computing (I co-manage a small pool of servers on CamGrid) and programming in a variety of languages (VB.net, Python, C++, PHP), mostly to support research activities or websites.

I also have a keen interest in music: I play the clarinet (much less than I used to), but mostly enjoy listening to classical music.
